Terms and conditions
No small print, just clarity of the service we provide.
All Argenta products are supplied with a 1 year parts warranty (effective for one year from the invoice date).
What is covered......any parts which suffer a mechanical fault during the one year warranty period are covered. Replacement parts will be sent free of charge. Faulty parts must be returned to Argenta for inspection, before replacement parts will be dispatched. Items deemed to be used incorrectly, incorrectly installed by an unqualified person "misused" or "tampered with" will have their warranty classed as void. All decisions in respect of faulty parts will remain at the discretion of Argenta.
We understand that the failure of a product can cost your business time and money, please be assured that we will deal with any product faults as quickly and efficiently as possible, to ensure minimum disruption to your business. In the majority of cases, spare parts will be dispatched without delay. Our ability to exercise our 'discretion' in these matters, is merely a means of ensuring that the provision of free replacement parts is not abused.
What is not covered.....parts needing replacement due to incorrect installation, miss operation, negligence or insufficient cleaning/lime scale build up.
Some of the equipment which we sell is not suitable for unskilled installation, therefore if it is suspected that this is the cause of a fault, we may ask to see proof of professional involvement during installation. Argenta are not liable for any costs arising from an engineer's visit relating to installation, diagnostics or repair of equipment either during or after the warranty period.
Please note that in respect of the AG EB Series warm display cabinets, the glass panels of the product are covered by warranty up to the point of delivery. If any glass has been broken in transit whilst the item is being delivered to you, please advise us of this immediately and replacement glass will be supplied under the terms of the warranty. However, glass which is subsequently broken due to accidental damage during the use of the machine, is not covered by the product warranty.
With regard to equipment such as Ice Machines and Water Boilers, in hard water areas we highly recommend the use of filtration devices to inhibit primarily limescale and all other impurities within the water. Please be aware that machine failure due to limescale damage will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Spare & Replacement Parts....we hold a comprehensive range of spare and replacement parts for all Argenta products. Please be aware that we do not provide parts for non Argenta branded products.

9.0 WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY
9.1 The Company guarantees it’s Goods as free from defects due to faulty material or workmanship for a period of twelve calendar months (unless otherwise stated) from the date of delivery to the Customer, either by the Company or the Company’s suppliers, or from the date of collection (in the case of Customer collection). In the latter case this guarantee will only apply to new or unused good. The date on the purchase invoice shall be deemed the warranty begin date. The above guarantee is nonetheless given by the Company subject to the following conditions and limitations.
a) The Company shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, failure to maintain, wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working condition, failure to follow the Company’s instructions (whether oral or written), misuse or alteration or repair of the Goods without the Company’s approval.
b) The Company shall be under no liability in respect of Goods operated or stored under adverse conditions (such as outside installations or in areas used for steam cleaning or pressure washing etc.) unless the same is otherwise specified in the relevant equipment manual.
c) The Company shall be under no liability in respect of Goods operated or stored under adverse conditions (such as outside installations) unless the same is otherwise specified in the relevant equipment manual.
d) The Company shall be under no liability under the above guarantee (or in any other warranty, condition or guarantee) if the total price for the Goods has not been paid by the due date for payment.
9.2 Subject as expressly provided in these Conditions, and except where the Goods are sold to a person dealing as a consumer (within the meaning of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977), all warranties, conditions or other terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9.3 Condition of the Goods or their failure to correspond with specification must be notified in writing to the Company immediately upon discovery of the defect or failure. If the Customer does not so notify the Company, the Customer shall not be entitled to reject the Goods and must bear any extra costs and expenses that result in resolving the situation. If the quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to meet specification is notified to the Company in accordance with these conditions, the Company shall be entitled to replace the Goods, or the part in question, free of charge or, at the Company's sole discretion, refund to the Customer the price of the Goods for a proportionate part of the price, but the Company shall have no further liability to the Customer.
9.4 Except in the respect of death or personal injury caused by the Company's negligence, the Company shall not be liable to the Customer by reason of any representation or any implied warranty condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the Contract, for any consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (and whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, distributors or agents or otherwise) which arise out of or in connection with the supply and/or installation of the Goods or their use or resale by the Customer.
9.5 The Company shall not be liable to the Customer or deemed to be in breach of the Contract by reason of any delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of the Company's obligations in relation to the Goods, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond the Company's reasonable control.
9.6 Warranty does not cover consumable parts, which wear over time during normal use. It is the Customers responsibility to ensure equipment is in full working order, serviced and maintained, before use, in accordance with the service schedule outlined in the Installation Guide.
9.7 In all cases warranty is for parts only and does not include labour. The Company will supply (under the terms of the warranty) the correct part, which it will be the Customers responsibility to fit. With agreement from the Company the item under warranty may be sent back to the Company, at the Customers expense, for repair. The Customer will be liable for the cost of shipping (both ways) and any labour charges incurred, but not the part required to repair. Exceptions may be made where the Company installs an item of equipment, in which case warranty may include parts, plus labour to fit parts. This has to be agreed, in writing, prior to Installation.
9.10 The Customer must retain the original invoice as proof of purchase from the Company, and commencement of warranty. The warranty contract is between the Company and the Customer, and no third-parties. Should the Customer sell an item within the warranty period to a third-party, the Company's warranty obligations cease from that moment.
